Bass trombone/trombone

As a bass trombonist, I have played with Irish Chamber Orchestra, RTE Concert Orchestra, RTE National Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra, Wexford Opera, Irish National Opera, Crash Ensemble, Irish Film Orchestra. Sid Lawrence Orchestra, NYJO, Dublin City Jazz Orchestra, New Irish Jazz Orchestra and abroad have played in London’s West End and with many touring musicals.

As a session player, I have recorded countless sessions for film, jingles, albums, video games etc.

As part of a horn section, l have backed artists such as Glen Hansard, Nathan Carter, Michael Buckley’s House of Horns, Lisa McHugh, Kíla and many more legends and supported innumerable guest on Nathan Carter’s TV series and The Late Late Show. A little while back I was the band frontman of the TV show “Tonight With Craig Doyle”. I toured China and North America with Heartbeat of Home (from the producers of Riverdance).

I studied classical bass trombone in my native Cork City at the Cork School of Music, gaining a BMusHons and following that a PGDip at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
